This weekend, we host our November edition of Open Mic Allstars on Sunday 2nd November. Featuring two up and coming Youth Rock acts from our region, Dirty Violet and Poisoned Cherry.

Please come along and support our young local musicians, who are ripping in, rehearsing like mad, and having a crack at getting themselves out there in the gig scene.

The kitchen will be open all afternoon for a great pub feed and head to the bar to quench your thirst. All under 18s need to be in the presence of a responsible adult.

Dirty Violet

Dirty Violet are a Newcastle three piece band, bringing fuzz, fire and grunge to the stage.

With Jed (vocals/guitar), Jack (bass) and Ethan (drums), their sound fuses Hendrix-inspired riffs with raw energy of the 90's grunge scene.

Summed up: Loud, Local and Unapologetic

Poisoned Cherry

They're a versatile blend of grunge, punk & rock genres, including anything from soft rock to indie to hard rock! They are Poisoned Cherry!

Made up by Jett on vocals & guitar, his brother Kye on bass and long-time mate Eli on drums, the three piece band have excelled to heights they didn't expect having only formed in March of this year.

You'll find them at many an Open Mic Night belting out their favourite tunes throughout Lake Macquarie and Newcastle.

Their commitment and determination is recognised amongst their peers, local community and beyond.

The trio attend Morisset High School and are super excited to perform in their hometown!
